A local woman was arrested by Marshalltown police recently for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)-second offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and keeping premises or vehicle for controlled substance violation, according to a initial appearance order filed in Marshall County District Court.

Jasmine C. Wright, 36, was taken to jail. At her initial appearance, a magistrate ordered the defendant to be released under supervision of the Department of Correctional Services and is required to follow all terms and conditions imposed. Additionally, the magistrate appointed a public defender to represent Wright. Her preliminary hearing is March 29.
