Charles Vernon Clapsaddle II, 69

Charles Vernon Clapsaddle II, 69, originally of Liscomb, Iowa, passed away on September 22, 2016, at his home in Palm Bay, Florida. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Liscomb Church of Christ, in Liscomb. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Interment will be at Liscomb Cemetery. Charles was born January 15, 1947, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Charles Vernon and Betty Mae (Smith) Clapsaddle. He grew up on a farm in Liscomb, Iowa, and graduated from Beaman Conrad High School, in 1965. He joined the Navy and served for 4 years, with some of the time in Viet Nam. He moved back to Liscomb and was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Kukes on June 16, 1973. He was a member of the Liscomb Church of Christ and was a member of the Moose Lodge he also raised honey bees, and was a HAM radio operator.

Charles is survived by his mother, Betty Mae McWilliams, two sons: John (Karin) Clapsaddle, James Clappsaddle, five grandchildren; Joseph, Michael and Bryan Alberico, and Kanishia and Andrew Clapsaddle, three brothers, Ronald, Richard, and Mike, and two sisters, Beverly Clapsaddle (Clover) and Barbara Clapsaddle (Duncan). He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, father, Vernon Clapsaddle, and two sons, Charles Vernon Clapsaddle III, and Jason James Clapsaddle.
