Sue Boucher was born on December 6, 1946, in Green Bay, Wisconsin; she was the daughter of Edward and Elenora (Rusch) Boucher. She attended School in the Green Bay School District graduating from West High with the class of 1965. On August 5, 1967, Sue was united in marriage to Gary J. Lied at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Green Bay. They had lived in a number of places and moved to Marshalltown in January to be near their daughter in Marshalltown. Sue was a great mother, homemaker and wife. She was a long time member of the Red Hats and a member in Redeemer Lutheran Church and even though her health didn’t allow her to participate here in Marshalltown, much of her life was involved in church activities and had a deep Faith, she enjoyed traveling, walking, meeting new people and an Avid “Green Bay Packers” fan but her life revolved around her loving family and her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, Gary; children: Carrie (Miguel) Ortiz, of Marshalltown and Todd, USN (Rose) Lied, of Hampton, Virginia; grandchildren: Ashley and Alexus Thompson, Adalissa Ortiz, Jason and Eric Johnson; great-grandchildren: Ken Nour, Camdyn Alman, Adalynn Climer and Kane Kern; siblings, George and Ed Boucher.

In death Sue rejoins her parents, Edward and Elenora; sister, Rodeen Bishop; brother, Gary Boucher; father-in-law, Clifford Lied and her beloved dogs, Spunky and Shadow.
