“Ne Na Ke Bi” Lydell Gene Bear, 40

“Ne Na Ke Bi” Lydell Gene Bear, 40, of Tama, has been called to sing with his dad, Medo and Uncle Bunni in the Big Powwow in the sky. He passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, at Mercy Medical in Des Moines, Iowa. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama with Homer Bear Jr. as speaker. Head Pallbearer will be Apollo Davenport. A Traditional Wake will be held Tuesday evening at the Bear Clan Long House on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.

Survivors include his mother, Donna Jean (Gilbert Brown) Kills Enemy, of Rosebud, SD; sister, Derice Lee (Jose) Aragon, of Marshalltown; three nephews; a niece; two maternal aunts; three paternal uncles; four paternal aunts and numerous cousins.

Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
