Alysabeth Louise Ferneau, 24

Alysabeth Louise Ferneau, 24, of Burlington, Iowa, passed away Saturday morning, May 20, 2017, near Danville, Iowa.

Alysa was born February 4, 1993, in Des Moines, Iowa. She loved her work as a caregiver at Hope Haven in Burlington, a facility devoted to assisting developmentally-disabled adults and also her work at Young House Family Services in Burlington. Alysa had devoted her life to helping others. She was a member of Harmony Bible Church.

She enjoyed many collections including comic books, wolves, elephants, ornamental keys and stuffed animals. She especially enjoyed her books and writing.

Alysa is survived by her parents, Jim and Shelley Ferneau, of Burlington; eleven brothers and sisters: Audreyanna (Alex) Marlett, Daniel, John Paul, Abigail, Nathaniel, Chloe, Naomi and Jordan Ferneau, all of Burlington, and Jessica, Dorothy and Julius Bear, of Tama/Marshalltown area; two nieces, Charlotte and Izabelle Marlett; her birthfather, Clyde Youngbear; grandparents, Dennis and Gloria Carkhuff, of Marshalltown, Bob and Arlene Johnson, of Marshalltown, and John and Patricia Ferneau, of New Providence.

She was preceded in death by three infant siblings: Kiersten, Tiffany and Sarah.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until noon Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home with the family to receive friends.

The funeral service for Miss Ferneau will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Harmony Bible Church in Danville. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa, at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 25, 2017.

Memorials may be directed to FIGHT Ministries, an organization fighting human trafficking.
