Myron Isaac Wanatee Sr., 80

Myron Isaac Wanatee Sr., 80, of Tama, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. A Wake was held Saturday evening, October 7, 2017, at the Myron Wanatee Sr. residence, 208 Sac and Fox Road, on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Native American Church Services were on Sunday evening, October 8, 2017, at the Myron Wanatee residence, on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services were held Monday, October 9, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the McIntosh Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama with Larry Lasley as speaker.

Survivors include his wife Carmen, of Tama; children: Myron (Joy) Wanatee Jr., of Marshalltown, Mylene Wanatee, Lowella (Ruperto) Balderas, Marcus (Jennie) Wanatee and Melinda (Tom) Wanatee Diego, all of Tama; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers: Oscar Wanatee, of Oklahoma City, OK, Joe (Peggy) Wanatee, of Tama, and Michael (Carma) Wanatee, of Tama; and many, many more relatives near and far.
