Born DeLoris Mae Jacobs on November 7, 1930, in Cedar Falls, IA, she was the daughter of Carl and Anna Mae (Erlewine) Jacobs. She received her education in the Marshalltown Schools. On June 11, 1950, she married the love of her life, Joe A. Holubar, at the First Presbyterian Church. They made their home in Marshalltown all of their married lives where she was employed at Fisher Controls, Marshalltown Public Schools and Edsal Printing. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother who was a strong woman of faith.

Her church was very near and dear to her. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church for decades, in choir, playing piano, Elizabeth Circle and any activity she could volunteer for. In her own time she enjoyed reading, puzzles, music and traveling, but above all spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are Joe, her loving husband of 67, years; her children, Kevin (Denise) Holubar of Marshalltown, Kathy Holubar of Madison, Wisconsin, and Kraig (Tami) Holubar of Newton, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jannae (Collin) Lane of Grimes, Justin (Jennie) Holubar of Cedar Rapids, Mary Swenson of Denver, Colorado, Peter (Natalie) Swenson of Cannon Falls, Minnesota, Jacob (Kristina) Holubar of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania , Caitlin (Rebekah) Holubar of Novato, California and six precious great-grandchildren, Adeline and Cora Lane, Macy Holubar, Hank Swenson and Ryan and Alaina Holubar; her brother, Carl Jacobs of Rockford, Illinois, sister-in-law, Betty Jacobs of Marshalltown, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In death, she rejoined her parents, Carl and Anna Mae; step father, Howard Farr; brother, John Richard Jacobs and grandson, Ian Michael Holubar.
