Lancey Alonzo Hawley, 62

Lancey Alonzo Hawley, 62, of Garwin, IA, formerly of Cape Cod and Hartford, CT, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 6, 2018. He was the beloved son of the late James Hargrove and Vivian Hawley.

Lancey was born in Richmond, VA and raised in Hartford, CT. He served in the United States Marines. He worked as a computer programmer in the military and received his CDL to drive trucks. He enjoyed electronics and building computers. He was also an avid farmer and gardener. Most of all he enjoyed his family. He was a loving father and brother and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Lancey is survived by his daughter Katya R. Hawley-Green, of Centerville; his sisters: Linda Wicks, of Mashpee, Felicia Woodard, of Waterbury, CT, Doris Hargrove, of Burlington, VT; his brothers: James Hargrove, of Long Beach, CA, Felix Cobbs, of Hartford, CT, Carl Hargrove, of Edincott, NY, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was predeceased by his daughter Linda V. Hawley.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151), Mashpee, on Thursday March 15, 2018, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home on Friday March 16, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:15 pm.
