Rose “Rosie” M. Stiegelmeier, 90

Rose “Rosie” M. Stiegelmeier, 90, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the evening of Friday, March 30, 2018, at Grandview Heights Nursing Home.

Funeral services for Rosie will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Father Don Czapala officiating. Public visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be directed in Rosie’s name to her family, which will later be designated to the AHeinz 57 Pet Rescue and Transport. Rose M. Lang was born on March 7, 1928, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the Marshall County School Districts, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1946. Rose was united in marriage to her first husband, Carl Eich in 1948. She later was united in marriage to Art Stiegelmeier in 1983.

Rosie was a hard working woman, dedicating a very colorful career with Fishers Office as a Teletype. Following her retirement from Fishers, Rosie ran the Little Bohemia Bar for some time. She had a passion for Poodles, sports, dancing, spending time with family, Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins and was an Avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan.

Left to cherish her memory is her son: Gary Eich; grandchildren: Chad (Emily) Eich, Kristie (Chris) Anderson and Sommer Eich; great-grandchildren: Taryn Eich, Jace Eich, Olivia Anderson and Chase Anderson; as well as two siblings: Bill Lang and Dorothy Bogard.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Wally Lang, Frank Lang, Mary Ladrille and Dick Lang.
