Hoffman for sheriff
Members of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office Bargaining Unit (representing the sheriff’s deputies and the jailers) have voted to endorse Chief Deputy Steve Hoffman for the office of Marshall County Sheriff.
Prior to being promoted to the position of chief jailer, Hoffman was previously an active member and open supporter of the bargaining unit at the sheriff’s office.
Hoffman’s endorsement weighed heavily on his experience and knowledge of the operational needs of the sheriff’s office and his ability to lead the sheriff’s office in meeting the growing needs and demands of the community.
Teamsters Local 238, which represents employees of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, is the largest law enforcement union in Iowa; representing more than 50 percent of all unionized law enforcement agencies in the state.
We are pleased to endorse Steve Hoffman for Marshall County Sheriff and look forward to working with him in the future to make the sheriff’s office a premiere employer as well as a premiere law enforcement agency.
