Why do we tolerate Trump’s dishonesty?

The Bible wrote about sin and honesty when Eve ate “fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.” All major religions for thousands of years have said that human beings should be honest. Honesty is America’s most valued trait.

So what happened in 2017 in the United States of America? In my lifetime I have never seen the American public and elected governmental figures tolerate the level of dishonesty that is being displayed right now in Washington.

When growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, the President of the United States was considered an example of the most scrupulous individual that America could find. All Americans demanded the president and his administration to be honest. Congress and the courts also acted as a check to combat any dishonesty that occurred.

With the election of Donald Trump as president, it has set the bar the lowest I have ever seen for honesty. Everyone in Congress needs to develop intestinal fortitude soon and take steps to unseat this president and his corrupt administration.

To all people who support dishonesty from our president, I say shame on you. The future of our nation is at stake. Alternative facts do not exist.
