Limit campaign contributions to the district

I disagree with part of Connie Schultz’s article on May 17. I think Rod Blum, or any other elected official, should be able to limit their town halls to only people who live in their district — as long as all their campaign money comes from within that district, too. It’s time to restrict sources of campaign contributions, not necessarily limit the amount of money that goes into a campaign, so that people in Northeast Iowa are elected by and represent people in Northeast Iowa, not by people in Russia or the Koch Brothers in Kansas or by good people scattered around the country who know nothing about our district.
