Rise Above MS

Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and the body. It has seriously impacted my daughter’s life; she has determined to “Rise Above MS.”

That is the slogan that will drive Marshalltown’s 1st annual Fundraiser Walk for MS on July 22 at the High School Track and Stadium Complex.

Today, MS is a disease without a cure. We have reason to be more optimistic than ever; there are more potential treatments currently in clinical trials than any time in history. Ending this disease for good will take a lot of us.

If you would like to join the movement to find the cure, please join us July 22. With every step we take, every dollar we raise, we drive groundbreaking research and provide life-changing programs and services for those affected by MS.

The National MS Society, Upper Midwest Chapter represents more than 17,000 people with MS in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Information and registration forms are available at: GNC at the Marshalltown Mall, Hampton Inn on Iowa Avenue, Wandering Creek Golf Course, Hellberg’s Jewelry, 13 W.Main and KFJB/KXIA studios.
