Join us for The Life Chain

Once a year there has been The Life Chain, a prayer vigil in support of life, on the first Sunday in October on Center Street. A small group of dedicated citizens stand on the sidewalk along Center Street from Olive Street north praying for the end of abortion. There are usually less than 100 people. It seems that there are more people in this community that support life. We are a “Not in Our Town” town. Wouldn’t you agree that abortion is a form of bullying, picking on those who are not able to defend themselves? We would like more people to join us this year. It is only for one hour, from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1. If you can’t stand, bring a chair. We have signs you can hold. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could fill the sidewalk all the way to Anson Street? There are refreshments after at Redeemer Lutheran Church from 3-4 p.m. Registration is from 1-2 p.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church and Redeemer Lutheran. There you can pick up the signs to hold. I hope to see you there.
