Proud to be in the community

Iowa River Hospice is proud to have served this area since 1983. It is truly an honor to serve patients and families at such a critical and tender time of life. Next year we will celebrate 35 years of dedication to this community and it to us.

You see our goals of care are determined by our patients and their families. We truly listen to you and are flexible to your needs. We can come into your home, where ever you call home, to deliver our individualized care and support, that will allow you or your loved one to be as comfortably and compassionately cared for as possible.

Our local staff is known for compassionate loving care. Put simply we do whatever it takes to comfort and support patients entrusted into our care. It is an honor to make that journey with each patient we serve.

Our team of professionals and trained volunteers are your friends and neighbors already living in the communities we serve. We have likely cared for someone you may know, as we have been helping people just like you since 1983.

Iowa River Hospice opened the Hospice Home in 2009 to further support patients needing intensive comfort care. Generous donors made that happen because they believed in Iowa River Hospice. Community members support us through financial donations, but also by sharing their time and talents with us. We benefit in so many ways from our trained volunteers who visit patients in their own homes or in the Hospice Home, and the many other selfless volunteers that give their other time or talents to our patients. Service groups and businesses donate their time and energy to make the Hospice home grounds peaceful and beautiful. We further benefit from our local volunteer board of directors who contribute their professional skills and talents to guide our organization.
