Vote for Untiedt

There are not enough superlatives to describe Bob Untiedt. Quite simply, he is extraordinary.

I’m supporting Bob for his bid to become our next city councilman for the Second Ward.

Bob is someone Marshalltown can depend upon. Frankly, I will feel better knowing he’s in my corner representing my views and the concerns of everyone in the ward.

Last year, I reached out to Bob to see if he could assist a single mother and her teenage child during a difficult Christmas.

He recognized that there are those folks who are in need, and he was able to provide two movie tickets so they go to the movies at the Orpheum Theater for an entire year.

It may have seemed like a small gesture, but it illustrated the compassion and kindness Bob exhibits all the time.

Bob knows that everyone, regardless of their station in life, has hopes and dreams for something better for themselves, their children and grandchildren.

As a council member, I believe Bob will represent their voices as he makes important decisions for anyone who calls Marshalltown home. He is someone, I know, who embraces diversity, recognizing that people from different backgrounds can contribute to the overall dialogue as to what’s best for Marshalltown.

The city’s future should not be decided by a select few. Bob recognizes that everyone should be empowered and allowed to share their ideas — he can serve as their representative on the council and act as a bridge to connect people and ideas.

Bob has the courage to take on the challenging issues the city faces and clearly understands that the council should be working for Marshalltown’s residents and not the city administrator.

For me, this election is over because the choice for Second Ward City Council is unparalleled.
