Condolences from Texas
My name is Ronnette, and I was once asked to be the bride of a young man from Marshalltown. That was 30 or so years ago. He made quite an impression, and so did his absolute doll of a mother.
I hadn’t thought of him, his mom, or Marshalltown in a very long time. Today, I heard the news, the unmistakable name, and had to reach out and tell you: I am thinking of you all, and praying for you too!
I was in a tornado in Lubbock, Tx in 1970, as a baby, and I sometimes still have nightmares. It’s normal they say, but I know that it’s not less scary simply knowing it’s normal that you’re feeling what you’re feeling. Reach out to each other if you can. Bless you all.
