Elton John next SNL host

I was surprised to learn the name of the next host of “Saturday Night Live” — it’s Elton John. The legendary musician should be interesting to see on stage and I bet he’ll be willing to poke fun at himself, much like he did on “The Simpsons” several years ago. John is doing “double duty” as he is also the musical guest this Saturday night. Lately, when Saturday Night Live has gone off the beaten path for a host it worked out, most notably the laugh-filled stint by Betty White. John doesn’t tend to put himself out there too much so it will be interesting to see how he can work this live. Say what you want about the quality of SNL in recent years but landing John it a pretty big coup for the show.
