Creekmur's minutes take a hit for ASU

December 5, 2011 - Travis Hines

After playing at least 20 minutes in each of Arizona State’s first five games, Arizona State sophomore Chanse Creekmur has seen his playing time slashed in the Sun Devils’ past two contests.

The 2010 Marshalltown High School graduate is shooting just 28 percent from the floor and 19 percent from 3-point range.

Creekmur recently moved into the starting lineup for ASU (3-4), but had a lackluster showing against Fairfield.

Against DePaul, Creekmur played 12 minutes and attempted one shot. Saturday against Tulsa, the 6-foot-5 all-time leading scorer in MHS history saw just 6 minutes of action, attempting and missing one shot and grabbing one rebound.

Creekmur has attempted just two free throws on the season and has five turnovers and three assists.

You can watch Creekmur and the Sun Devils take on Nevada at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday via webcast at FoxSportsArizona.com.
