| | Paul to end candidate drought in MarshalltownDecember 8, 2011 - Andrew PotterIt’s been more than a month since a Republican presidential candidate has made their way to Marshalltown and Ron Paul is set to end this drought Saturday. The congressman will appear at 10 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 10) at the Fisher Community Center for a town hall meeting. I believe this is the first presidential candidate to visit Marshalltown since Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum were here on Nov. 1. Before this summer’s Ames Straw Poll we had a huge run of candidates in Marshalltown. We’ll see if it’s going to pick up now prior to the Jan. 3 caucuses as Paul could just be the beginning.
