Motivational speaker coming to MHS Monday

Motivational speaker Jimmy Cabrera from Texas will deliver a presentation Monday (March 26) at 1:25 p.m. at the Marshalltown High School Roundhouse. He will present primarily to MHS students and staff, but the public is welcome to attend as well. His visit is sponsored by the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute.

Joan Jaimes of Marshalltown Community College was instrumental in lining up Cabrera, who is also speaking at Miller Middle School Monday morning. Jaimes is part of the U.S. Commission on Latino Affairs.

“I thought this would be an excellent opportunity for students in Marshalltown,” Jaimes said.
