Remembering Laurel's Bill Miller
September 26, 2012 - Bennet Goldstein
I was saddened to learn of the death of Laurel's Bill Miller, 51, in a vehicle accident Monday. I got to know him when he first put a grain bin atop his home several years ago and I visited for a story. He said it was a cheap way to fix his leaky roof and he also liked the attention he received. Well, within the past year he acquired another grain bin and put it as an addition to his garage. No doubt his handiwork has caught plenty of attention on Highway 14, a road where he lost his life this week. Miller was a very nice guy and upbeat. He didn't have much, but you could tell he appreciated all that he had and liked that his talent made some people smile. My thoughts are with his family after losing a truly unique man.
