Tickets still available for Power of the Purse event

Nancy Steveson of the United Way said a small collection of tickets still remain for the Oct. 10 United Way Power of the Purse. Tickets are $35 and must be purchased in advance. For more information, call the United Way office at 641-752-4688. The event includes appetizers and a purse auction with the money raised to go to the 2012 United Way campaign that helps area service agencies. The event begins at 6 p.m. at Elmwood Country Club.
