| | Reporter shown the door at meetingJanuary 15, 2013 - Andrew PotterMuch as it is hard for me to admit, there are some people that just don’t want me around. Especially since I’m a reporter. That message was made clear during a meeting I originally thought was open to the public Monday night. As soon as I walked into the room someone yelled “No, no, no” over again. I felt like a child who got caught with his hand in the candy dish. It’s been awhile since I was booted from a meeting so I found it confusing to take at first. As I learned later, I was never invited from the meeting’s organizers and it didn’t fall under the public meetings law. So I guess it was their right to send the “newsboy” home. Oh well, by early the next morning I was sitting in a public meeting and right at home. And I didn’t get kicked out this time. | |
