Alright, let's see if this works. I was pleased to hear that this most prestigious blog, A Strangers Opinion, won second place at the Iowa Newspaper Association Awards for Best Blog.

A big thank you to both of my readers.

During my post award revelry I was informed that blogging is no longer en vougue; apparently the kids today alp spend their time on Twitter, FB, or whatevr photo sharing service people are currently cataloging their food with.

I disagree. Blogging is obviously still relevant, you're reading this one, aren't you?

But I made a concession to our modern world and have decided to post this blog in the manner befitting 2013; I'm posting this whole blogfrom may phone.

And since it has taken me about 20 minutes to get this far I have realized that 1) texting a blog is crazy and 2) I am too old for this. So, if you'll excuse Ythe spelling and grammar errors I need to go watch an episode of Matlock.
