'Finding Bigfoot' delightfully dumb
March 12, 2013 - Bennet Goldstein
Do you want to watch television to be entertained and feel dumber at the same time? Well, then the Animal Planet show “Finding Bigfoot” is for you. I recently stumbled across this show as these brave souls take in nights in the woods in search of the elusive Sasquatch. The last episode I saw they noticed something on their night vision cameras but quickly went to commercial. That left us at a cliffhanger. Well, they came back from commercial and notified us the object on their cameras was just a mouse on a tree. OK, yeah, I get it, mistaking a 5-inch mouse for a 7-foot tall Bigfoot is easy. During another episode, the group heard trees being knocked over in the night and said it must have been Bigfoot. It must have been too much work to actually survey the area of the suspected downed trees in the daylight the next day. Or maybe it was some super-powerful mouse again. Well, I guess if you watch “Finding Bigfoot” just for the absurdity of it, the show can be entertaining. Don’t expect people not to laugh at you for watching it though.
