Marshalltown schools to hire Burmese translator
July 16, 2013 - Andrew Potter
The increasing population of students from Burma in the Marshalltown Community School District has led it to seek a full-time Burmese translator. Currently, the district hires a translator as needed. Associate Superintendent Susan Pecinovsky said they are looking to hire a Burmese translator within the next few weeks to have someone in place for the start of the school year. School resumes on Aug. 20 in Marshalltown.
