Girls softball group does it right
June 10, 2014 - Andrew Potter
My daughter will wrap up her first season playing in the Marshalltown Girls Softball Association next week. I have to thank the coaches, board and other volunteers who make the league a success. My daughter has had more fun than I ever imagined playing the league — and that's not just the day when her teammate handed out some "Frozen" stickers. The league is well run and gets hundreds of girls active — which we all know all of us need more of. There were also some lighthearted moments as well as the young girls still learn how to play the game. We plan to be back in the MGSA next year as it was a good decision to have our kindergartner play.
