Ice cream obsessed

I always write about the summer— it’s because I love the season. Outside of the pool and golf, a piece of my summer consists of this equation: warm weather plus hanging out with my boyfriend who has a sweet tooth. This equals a sweet season of ice cream. I’ve been eating it a lot lately. It started last Thursday with a cookie dough blizzard from Dairy Queen. The next day I had birthday cake flavored frozen yogurt with strawberries from the Purple Cherry. I had Baskin Robins in Des Moines Friday and frozen yogurt Saturday with my boyfriend. Today I ate a Snickers ice cream bar from Hy-Vee. After typing this I realize I may have a problem. In my defense, I wrote about the reopening of Tasty Freeze, this didn’t help make me NOT want ice cream. Both ice cream and frozen yogurt are so creamy and delicious, it really hits the spot in this summer weather. My favorite ice cream flavor is cookie dough, without the chocolate chips. I also love chocolate ice cream. My favorite frozen yogurt is a cake flavor with strawberry toppings or with cookie dough. When it comes to toppings I try and keep it minimal. I never use a cone. I know I will end up making a stop at Ev’s sometime too, probably sooner than later. Enjoy the summer— I say eat ice cream.
