Billy Joel’s appearance on the “Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon in May inspired my better half to purchase “KOHU,EPT” (translated from Russian as “Concert”) one of the acclaimed singer/songwriter’s cd’s. It is a 1987 release, recorded live from Joel’s tour of Russia. The performances represented a thawing of cold war relations between the United States and Russia. Joel fans will not be disappointed, it has “Angry Young Man,” “Honesty,” “Goodnight Saigon” “Allentown” (a favorite of this writer) “Uptown Girl,” and “Big Shot.” The quality is decent live performances.
