Plenty of summer left
July 22, 2014 - Bennet Goldstein
If you are feeling sad that summer is slowly slipping away, don't fret, there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy the season. August will have plenty of area festivals including Melbourne Mousehole Days, Union Tar Heel Days and the Mid-Iowa Antique Power Show, all during the first weekend of August. Later in the month we'll see the 100th Meskwaki Pow Wow and the biggest festival of them all — the Iowa State Fair. So get out and enjoy the summer — when it's not too steamy. There's plenty of days left before we have to start worrying about that nasty four-letter word that rhymes with toe.
