Searching for my next binge watch

August 20, 2014 - Pam Rodgers

It feels like it’s been ages since my last binge watching experience. OK, it’s been a month but it still feels like forever. I have been trying to keep up with the shows I watch every week and haven’t had much extra time to consider the next new series to start.

My last adventure was watching the whole first season of AMC’s “Turn” in July. I don’t know if I would have enjoyed the series as much if I watched it week to week. But during my binge watch, I got really into it. I’m a sucker for American history so it was nice to finally see a show dedicated to the Revolutionary War. The historical accuracy is questionable at times, but it still held my attention enough for me to keep hitting play on the next episode.

Now, I have been scoping out my next binge watching options. With all the hustle and bustle at the end of summer, I haven’t had time to figure out which is the best option for me. I’ve had several suggestions/ideas, but “True Detective” and “Orange is the New Black” are at the top of the list. I have them in my queue, now I just need to carve out some time, lock myself in my room and start watching.

If there are other options out there, email me and let me know: prodgers@timesrepublican.com.
