Cavs, Lakers on a collision course.

April 14, 2009 - Bennet Goldstein
As the NBA playoffs begin this weekend it appears all signs point to a Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Los Angeles Lakers NBA Finals. Though this would be months away, recent occurrences give me even more reason to believe these two teams are destined to meet. San Antonio lost Manu Ginobili for the season, Boston has a banged-up Kevin Garnett and the C’s have not been playing like a house on fire as they did last year. Other top teams like Orlando, Denver and Houston have not shown the consistency to warrant being picked to go all the way. So there is good chance we may have LeBron James against Kobe Bryant for the title. The NBA and its fans will be grateful for that – so will the TV ratings.
