Swayze seemed down to earth Actor Patrick Swayze lost his battle with cancer Monday. As Swayze is remembered, many are highlighting his well-known work including movies like “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost.” I prefer to remember him for his other work — like playing Roy Kirkendall in a little-known movie “Waking up in Reno” and his recent A&E television drama “The Beast.” Lest we not forget Swayze and Chris Farley doing the Chippendale’s audition dance on Saturday Night Live. Simply classic. Swayze always seemed never to take himself too seriously and was not afraid to make fun of his “Aw Shucks” country boy persona.
