| | If I never rake another leaf...November 4, 2009 - Pam RodgersI had a few days off of work during the week, so I have been on yard detail for my family. We still own my grandfather’s old house after he passed away three years ago. It has served my family well for storage and other things. The only problem is there are a ton of trees on the property. Therefore, every Fall the place is littered with millions of leaves. There was finally consistently nice weather for a few days where I didn’t have a million other things to do so I decided to rake the yard. Four hours later, I had more than 15 piles of leaves and a ditch full ready to be burned. As soon as my parents were done teaching, we began the burning process. After another two and a half hours and well into darkness, most of the leaves are now off the yard and burned. The next day I woke up and could hardly move. So here’s to a day of rest and then start on my own house. Oh, boy! Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
