Moving stroll the right call

Moving the Holiday Stroll to Saturday was a good thing to do by the organizers of the annual downtown event. The players of this historic Marshalltown High School football run deserve to have the spotlight squarely focused on them when they take on Iowa City High in the Class 4A state championship Friday at 7:05 p.m. in the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. To give another nod to the team, players will be honored at the stroll, which runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. It’s going to be a big weekend to be a Marshalltown resident, and now people won’t have to choose one or the other — they get both.
