Rodgers Review: Television
December 31, 2009 - Pam Rodgers
I have already discussed reality TV so this will look at what I consider "regular" TV shows. The good old sitcoms and dramas America knows and loves. My number one show is easy to pick: NCIS. I enjoy watching this every Tuesday, and it is the highlight of the week...as far as watching television goes. I already blogged in September on the greatness of the show so there is no need to repeat myself. The bottom line is if you don’t already watch the show, give it a shot. It’s really great. A full description can be found on the CBS Web site if you want to catch up to where we find out favorite characters (Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, McGee, Abby, Ducky, etc.) are in Season 7.
The best new show is the NCIS Spinoff, NCIS: Los Angeles. It’s not as great as the original but still has great material. It’s on right after NCIS on Tuesdays.
My favorite show in it’s second season is Castle (on ABC Monday nights at 9 CST). It’s a very cleaver show and a close second to NCIS on the my favorite shows on TV right now.
The show that has taken a wrong turn for me is Grey’s Anatomy. This has been my favorite show since it first aired. I loved the past seasons but the current season’s whole premise is not very good. There are times when I hate the episode I’m watching. The shell of Gray’s is there so I still enjoy it. As long as Derek and Meredith and Mark and Lexie stay together, I’ll still watch it. But, it has definitely gone off course this year. Hopefully it will pick up in the second half of the season.
