The sixth Harry Potter came out, the second in the Twilight Saga came out: New Moon along with countless others that dealt in the paranormal or out of this world material. I think for this year the number one spot would have to go to Star Trek. It was paranormal. It is hard to do a prequel of such a well established and liked story line...just look at the Star Wars prequels...yikes. But the makers of the new Star Trek did a great job. They set it up it a great way to honor the classic stories but also made it so they could go in a new direction with the new group of actors. It was superb. One movie I didn’t mention before was Underworld 3. It may be the best of the Underworld movies. And also Push, it was different but in a good way. I recommend all the titles I mentioned above. There are several I haven’t seen yet that I would include the biggest being Avatar. I want to see it so bad. I will try to go soon and may write a separate blog about it. Others on the to Watch List are Princess and the Frog, G-Force, Where the Wild Things Are and Alvin and Chipmonks The Squeakual. It's hard to pick a least favorite but my pick would be Wolverine. They took a step backwards with the special effects and at times, I felt the movie was a little random. It wasn’t the worst movie I saw this year but I definitely had to rate it last on my list. If you enjoy the other X-Men movies, I would still recommend checking this out movie. It is just not a must see in my opinion. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
