Ready again for ‘DWTS’

March 24, 2010 - Pam Rodgers

OK, I admit that the new cast for Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars didn’t pull me in right at first. There is no one that jumped off the list as a must see for me. The closest person is gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek. But to be honest, I had never really heard of him until the Olympics and didn’t remember him from the 2006 games. To sum up, I was less than enthused about the potential dancing “stars.”
I even went so far as to not watch it the day of the first show and watched it off the DVR.
Now I can say that I am once again pulled in by the new cast. They were all pretty good. There were none that were just terrible like in seasons past. There are some with obviously less talent than the rest but not so bad you wanted to fast forward their routine. I can’t even say that  Buzz Aldrin horrible. The man is 80 years old and moves better than some of the worst contestants of years past.

While not a star-studded cast, they will be fun to watch. Pussycat Doll lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger is going to be hard to beat, that’s very apparent after one dance. It also helps that she is dancing with Derek Hough, who I firmly believe brings in a fair amount of votes just for himself and not necessarily his dance partner. I am ready for week two.
