The most wonderful time for improv
December 9, 2010 - Bennet Goldstein
It’s nearing the end of December, which can only mean one thing. The holidays? Well, that too. But also the return of the annual improv show of the Marshalltown Community Theatre at the Martha Ellen Tye Playhouse. The show times are at 7:30 p.m. on both Dec. 30 and 31. I’m sure you can read more about the show in the T-R as it gets closer but just wanted to put a bug in your ear. As a participant in this show the past two years, I can tell you it’s a blast — even the four workshops leading up to the show. (Dec. 26-29 at 6:30 p.m.). When I showed up to do a story and got sucked into the troupe it opened up a whole new world for me. The unscripted show is always a fun time if you are looking for New Year’s Eve plans. Or if you are looking to be a part of the fun, come to the workshops and see if the show is right for you.
