Joseph and Alesha Sheets, of Marshalltown, are the parents of a daughter, Brielle Ann Sheets, born at 4:40 p.m. on May 8, 2008, at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. She joins a sister, Baileigh Sheets. Grandparents are Craig Balcom, Holly and Robert Blayer, and Darla and Richard Ingledue. Great-grandparents are Norma and Clarence Balcom, and Don and Beverly Risius.

• On May 11, Santos Rodriguez, 510 W. South St., reported damage to a passenger side window on a 2001 Chevy S10 pickup while in the Salon Diana parking lot and the theft of a Pioneer detachable face CD player. Estimated value of loss was $300.
• On May 11, Charles Scott Willman, 810 Arlington Dr., reported BB gun damage to the rear window on a 1982 Buick Regal while parked in his driveway. Estimated value of damage was $300.
• On May 11, Jacob Andrew Lathrop, 207 W. Church St. (Half), reported brick damage to a passenger side window and windshield on a 2004 Ford F150 pickup while parked at his residence. Estimated value of damage was $600.
• On May 10, Matt Eberle, 303 Waconda Rd., reported rock damage to the rear window on a truck while parked at his residence. Estimated value of damage was $300.
• On May 10, an employee with LE Meyers, 1405 Jackson St., reported the theft of new copper from the business. Estimated value of loss was $8000.

• On May 9, an employee with Kentucky Fried Chicken building, 10 Westwood Dr., reported hit and run damage to the driver’s side door on a vehicle owned by Naomi M. Winkleman, 403 W. South St. Estimated value of damage was $100.

• On May 9, an employee with Construct Inc., 1710 E. Main St., reported the theft of two Cobra 29 CB radios from 2 dump trucks while parked at the business. Estimated value of loss was $240.
• On May 9, an employee with Gridor Construction, Buffalo, Minn., reported damage to a small window on a construction trailer while parked at 608 Turner St., and the theft of a DeWalt cordless hammer drill and a HP printer, fax and copier machine. Estimated value of loss was $440.

• On May 8, a car driven by Tamra Larae Muschick, Clemons, was southbound on South 6th Street slowing for vehicles ahead which were slowing for a left turning vehicle at the intersection with Nicholas Drive when it collided with the rear of a pickup driven by Dave James Hala, 2669 260th St., sending it into the rear of a car driven by Nancy Ann Ryden, 507 Highland Dr. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Muschick car was estimated at $5000 while the Hala pickup received an estimated $1000 in damage and the Ryden car an estimated $500 in damage.
