Wilson, born at 2:38 a.m. on July 22, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines,
weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 20 inches. Grandparents are Doug and Sandi Edwards of Marshalltown, and Jim and Jamie Wilson of Marshalltown. Great-grandparents are Wayne and Fern Edwards of Marshalltown, and Hazel and Irvin Burton of Newton.
Jon and Jennifer Waters, of Ankeny, are the parents of identical twin boys born at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines on July 25, 2008. Jackson John was born at 11:18 p.m. weighing 6 pounds and measuring 19 and 1/2 inches. Joel Jeffery was born at 11:20 p.m. weighing 5 pounds 4 ounces and measuring 18 and 1/4 inches. Grandparents are Pat and Joan Waters of Marshalltown, and Ron and JoAnn Gander of Maxwell. Great-grandmothers are Mary Ann Waters of Marshalltown, Millie Gander of Ankeny, and Maude Schauper of Maxwell.

She joins brothers, JJ (15), Bruce (14) and Holden (1 1/2). Grandparents are Ben Randall of Melbourne, Marlys Hauser of Marshalltown, and Gordon and Andrea Simms of South Carolina.

On Aug. 16, an employee with Family Dollar, 329 S. 3rd Ave., reported the theft of a Diamond 24 speed mountain bike. Estimated value of loss was $200.
On Aug. 14, Myra Santoya, 1003 Broadmore Dr., reported damage to the dash on a 1998 Acura TL while parked at Swift & Co., 402 N. 10th Ave., and the theft of a Jensen CD player with a 7" TV screen. Estimated value of loss was $900.
On Aug. 14, Leslie Scott Borton, 413 Union St., reported the theft of a 4' x 6' chain link dog kennel with 5 foot high walls from his yard. Estimated value of loss was $300.
On Aug. 14, Denise Laughlin, Albion, reported the theft of an LG cell phone while at work at Applebee's, 3101 S. Center St. Estimated value of loss was $195.

Accidents
On Aug. 17, a semi driven by David Alan White, Newton, was eastbound on Anson Street approaching 18th Avenue in the north side lane attempting to turn right onto 18th Avenue when it collided with a vehicle driven by Phillip Lee Franksain, Gladbrook, which was in the right turn lane. No injuries were reported. White was cited for turning from improper lane. Damage to the White semi was estimated at $1000 while the Franksain vehicle received an estimated $5000 in damage.
On Aug. 17, a car driven by Hugo Rios, 810 S. 9th Ave., was exiting a private driveway when it collided a legally parked vehicle. No injuries were reported. Rios was cited for failure to have a valid driver's license and violation-financial liability-accident. Damage to the Rios car was estimated at $100 while the legally parked vehicle received an estimated $4000 in damage.
On Aug. 17, a car driven by Carolina Alejo-Cacari, 117 N. 2nd St., was southbound on First Avenue, turned into a driveway, accidentally accelerated and collided with a parked vehicle and a building located at 116 N. 1st Ave. No injuries were reported. Alejo-Cacari was cited for no valid driver's license, violation-financial liability-accident and failure to secure a child. Damage to the Alejo-Cacari car was estimated at $5000 while the parked vehicle received an estimated $2000 in damage.
On Aug. 16, a minivan driven by Jocelyn Alcalde Pohle, 405 Dennis Dr., was eastbound on East Ingledue Street when it went through a stop sign and a collision occurred with a car driven by Robert Lee Cook, 409 Thunderbird Dr., which was travelling south on South Second Avenue. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Pohle minivan was estimated at $2000 while the Cook car received an estimated $1500 in damage.
