Adult video store opens on Iowa Ave.

Big Earl's, a new adult entertainment establishment located at 207 Iowa Ave. East, has recently opened for business.
Originally intended to be a strip club featuring nude dancing, Big Earl's may now be more of a hybrid, offering retail merchandise, such as adult videos, along with nude dancing. However, the only thing currently being advertised on the marquee sign is the adult video portion of the business.
One report to the Times-Republican did indicate a stage was already constructed for performances.
A call to the store went into an automated voicemail service, which informed there had been no mailboxes set up and therefore it was incapable of taking a message.
Earlier inquiries the T-R made concerning the sign, which was erected in March, were not returned by the property owner, Melvin Bryson.

Perhaps, some of the ladies are so hot they're smokin'. That may be in violation of the smoking ban.

I'm not a reporter but couldn't you just walk into the place and ask them some questions! You will know it is open when you see all the cars out front, I think the record crowd so far is 5 cars in the lot. Hope the girls didn't quit their night jobs.....

Think of the poor strippers who would have to suffer through that humiliating smoke!

A bar next door would be nice. It would be nice to be able to smoke in that bar too!

Too bad it's across the street from that family Mexican restaurant. I wonder if new chain businesses will want to locate on the strip of land now?
