The cases have been made. The choices have been set.
The rest is up to the voters as they head to the polls Tuesday. For those who have not registered but still want to weigh in with their opinion on everything from the president to the Marshall County recorder's position, there is an option that was not available in recent years. That is same-day registration.
While a voter's registration at the polls is subject to more scrutiny and it will require a photo ID, it is an option for those who have put off registering until the last minute.
If you have a new address since your last driver's license was issued, it is possible to use the license as the photo identification and another form of proof for residency, such as a utility bill.
For those without proof of residency and identity, another voter can attest to your identity and where you live. Both of you will be required to sign an oath.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
