Marshalltown Police Department Reports:

Incidents

On July 15, Clint Allen Redman, 601 E. State St., reported hit and run damage to the driver side front corner on a Toyota Corolla while parked at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center east lot, 3 S. 4th Ave. Estimated value of damage was $700.

On July 15, James Elbert Hunt, 403 N. Center St. Apt. #1, reported the theft of a 1991 GMC Sierra pickup from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $3700.

On July 15, Tracy Lynn Shattuck, 209 S. 4th Ave. Apt. #2, reported the theft of a Schwinn mountain bike from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $200.

Incidents

On July 15, Tyler William Patten, Clemons, reported the theft of a Kel-Tec semi automatic pistol and case from 1136 170th St., Clemons. Estimated value of loss was $270.

On July 4, Robert Earl Grove, 2602 Underwood Ave., reported the theft of 3 small tool boxes, a 1/2 inch socket set, a 3/8 inch socket set, end wrench set, pliers, set of vise grips, two Stihl chain saws and a Honda recreational vehicle from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $1200.

Arrests

On July 15, Nathan Alan Galema, 815 Roberts Terrace, was arrested for trespass of real property.

On July 15, Samuel Luke Kosbau, 1102 Kester Rd., was arrested for trespass of real property.

On July 14, Mike Lee Jackson, Cedar Rapids, was arrested for probation revocation.

On July 14, Maxine Macias, 1509 Marion St. Apt. C-1, was arrested for driving under suspension.

On July 14, Sam Lovan, Flamingo Motel, 705 Iowa Ave. West Room #30, was arrested for kidnapping, 1st degree.

On July 12, Jeffrey Hale Barker, 301 S. 2nd Ave., was arrested for driving under the influence.

On July 12, Mudesthir Mohamad Abdalla, 710 S. 12th St. Apt. #8, was arrested for operating while intoxicated and operation without registration.

On July 11, Jose Andrade-Esquivel, 108 1/2 Lincoln St., was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

On July 11, Andrea Fae Hogan, 508 S. 5th St., was arrested for simple assault.

On July 10, Michael Denis Oliver, 205 W. Nevada St. Apt. #3, was arrested for violation of pretrial.

On July 9, Lucas John Ellis, Maxwell, was arrested for probation violation.

Accidents

On July 13, a car driven by Debbra Lue Epperson, 8 N. 12th Ave., was southbound on Zeller Avenue when it went out of control hitting the west shoulder, was over-corrected, entered the east ditch where it overturned and came to rest on its top. Epperson was transported to Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Damage to the Epperson car was estimated at $10500.

On July 2, a pickup driven by Justin Kirk Childs, Clemons, was northbound on Eastman Avenue when it struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Childs pickup was estimated at $1200.

Grundy County Sheriff's Office Reports:

Arrests

On July 7, Jered Neith, age 23, Waterloo, was arrested at the Black Hawk County Jail on a Grundy County warrant charging him with contempt of court for failing to comply with an order to submit his fingerprints. Prints were taken and he was released from the warrant.

On June 29, Aaron Claassen, age 19, Holland, was arrested for serious assault. He posted bond and was released.

On June 28, Nick Capazo, age 26, Gladbrook, was arrested by Tama County authorities on a Grundy County warrant charging him with failure to appear. He posted bond and was released.

On June 27, Brady Hunt, age 28, Fort Dodge, was arrested by Black Hawk County authorities on a Grundy County warrant for probation violation. He is being held on a no bond hold.

Accidents

On July 9, a vehicle driven by William Lawton, Reinbeck, was westbound on Highway 175 near T-55 when it struck a deer on the roadway. Lawton received minor injuries. Damage to the Lawton vehicle was estimated at $1500.

On July 2, a vehicle driven by Christopher Massina, Waterloo, was eastbound on Highway 20 when a deer came out of the ditch and was struck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Massina vehicle was estimated at $1500.

On June 30, a car driven by Harold Vaux, Union, was eastbound on D-67 two miles east of S-75 when in an attempt to pass a Central Iowa Water Association truck that was partially on the road with flashing lights it sideswiped the truck. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1000 each.

On June 30, a vehicle driven by David Jenkins, Milwaukee, Wis., was westbound on Highway 20 when it went out of control, entered the north ditch, rolled, struck a fence and came to rest. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Jenkins vehicle was estimated at $4500.

On June 30, a car driven by Kimberly Riley-Adams, Marshalltown, was northbound on Highway 14 south of 320th Street when a deer ran onto the roadway and was struck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Riley-Adams car was estimated at $1800.

On June 28, a vehicle driven by Tracey Kerns, Waverly, was driving in the City of Stout when in an attempt to pull into an alleyway it struck a small fire hydrant. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kerns vehicle was estimated at $500 while the Stout fire hydrant received an estimated $1500 in damage.

On June 27, a vehicle driven by James Marks, New Hartford, was eastbound on 160th Street east of R Avenue when it struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Marks vehicle was estimated at $1200.

On June 23, a semi driven by David Propst, Lehigh, was westbound on Highway 20 with an empty trailer when due to a severe thunderstorm and wind gusts it ended up on its side in the median. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Propst semi was estimated at $15000.
