Brenda LaPour and Jeff Kockler of Manly are the parents of son Jaxson Jeffery born Oct. 9 at 6:47 a.m. at Mercy Hospital in Mason City weighing 9 pounds and 9 ounces and measuring 21.75 inches long. Jaxson joins sisters Kiley, Hailey and brother Jake. Grandparents are Sandy LaPour in Marshalltown and Elaine and Richard Kockler of Manly.

Amber Jara and Armando Jara-Cruz of Marshalltown are parents of daughter Ana Jara-Cruz, born on Oct. 7 at 7:11 p.m., at MMSC, 7 pounds 4 ounces measuring 20 inched long. Ana joins sister Yesenia Jara-Cruz. Grandparents are Kris Tidwell, Mike Jesina, Miguel Jara-Hernandez and Ana Maria Cruz-Sanchez.

Incidents
On Tuesday Dennis Verle Beckman, 2233 Marshalltown Boulevard, reported the theft of cash, a Sony bass speaker, a man's leather coat, a man's dress half coat, a Swiss Army watch and a Seiko watch from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $1950.
On Oct. 16, Amy Rees, 211 E. Main St., reported the theft of cash, an XBox game console, four XBox games, a Toshiba laptop computer, Polaroid and Canon cameras from an address in State Center. Estimated value of loss was $450.
Accidents
On Thursday a minivan driven by Elizabeth Ann Kuhlers of Albion was westbound on Main Street Road when it struck a deer and came to rest on the shoulder. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kuhlers minivan was estimated at $3,000.
On Wednesday a car driven by Martin Lynn Malloy of State Center was traveling northbound on Cooper Avenue and stopped at the intersection with Highway 30, then proceeded to enter the lane of traffic at which time it was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Justin Paul Mack, 2334 Knollway Dr., which was traveling west on Highway 30. Mack was injured, but not treated or transported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $3,500 each.

On Thursday Tonya Lynn Weber, 207 S. 3rd St. Apt. #3, was cited for theft, 5th degree from Family Dollar, 329 S. 3rd Ave.
Arrests
On Thursday Sean Michael McFarlin, 1214 E. Nevada St., was arrested for serious domestic assault.
Accidents
On Wednesday a car driven by Jacob Michael Judge, 309 Innes Boulevard, was westbound on West Church Street when it collided with the rear of a pickup driven by Pamela Sue Watson, 308 Summit St., which was traveling west on Church Street and stopped at the intersection with South Third Street. No injuries were reported. Judge was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Judge car was estimated at $1,500 while the Watson pickup received an estimated $500 in damage.
