Marshalltown Police Department

On Monday an employee with Wal-Mart, 2802 S. Center St., reported the theft of multiple sets of bracelets, necklaces and earrings. Estimated value of loss was $184.

On Monday a person associated with Subway, 125 E. Main St., and Do-Dahs, 128 E. Main St., reported damage to a steel alley door, another alley door and locks and the theft of a black safe, a change holder, cash and 60 free 6 inch sub coupons. Estimated value of loss was $2,698.85.

On Sunday Joshua Mark Casey, 2320 S. 5th Ave., was legally parked in the 2300 block of South Fifth Avenue when it received hit and run damage to the driver side mirror on a 2002 Dodge Neon. Estimated value of damage was $250.

On Saturday Allen Dale Huseboe, 2307 New Salem Rd., reported damage to a walk-in door window, screen and lock on the door at 902 Washington St., and the theft of a flashlight. Estimated value of loss was $420.

On Saturday Jared Corder, 310 S. 6th St., reported the theft of two Trek bicycles, a men and a women, from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $160.

On Saturday Duane William Hannah, 1102 E. Anson St., reported damage to an east entrance door and the theft of a Mongoose bicycle and a Rampage bicycle. Estimated value of loss was $217.

On Friday Tony Decker of Cedar Falls reported the theft of an XPlod in-dash car stereo from a 1994 Chevy Cavalier while parked at 616 W. State St. Estimated value of loss was $200.

On Friday Amanda Felan Estrada, 307 S. Center St. (Half), reported the theft of a DHS check for child services in the amount of $434.64.

On Friday an employee at Hy-Vee, 802 S. Center St., reported the theft of sub buns and rolls in the amount of $202.50.

On Friday Rafael Cervantes, 519 N. 3rd St., reported hit and run scrape damage to the lower part of the passenger side door on a Ford truck. Estimated value of damage was $300.

On Nov. 19, Bradley Allen Wiener, 915 S. 2nd Ave., reported the theft of a passenger side tire from a 2006 Ford Fusion while propped up with a brick and the theft of a driver side rear tire from a 2007 Ford Fusion while held up with a landscaping brick at his residence. Estimated value of loss was $1,000.

On Monday Vicki Marcene Cox of Gilman was cited for theft, 3rd degree (enhanced) from Wal-Mart.

On Saturday Nathan Lee Bogus, 2810 W. Main St., was cited for theft, 5th degree from Kum & Go, 613 N. 3rd Ave.

On Nov. 7, Brittany Marie Smith, 107 1/2 W. State St., was cited for delinquency of a minor by causing the minor to break the law.

On Nov. 7, Adam Samuel Murphy, 1507 1/2 W. State St., was cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

On Monday Jose Diaz-Garcia, 134 E. Main St. Apt. #504, was arrested for carrying a weapon and theft, 5th degree from The General Store, 116 E. Church St.

On Monday Peter Nazario-Alvira, 134 E. Main St. Apt. #504, was arrested for carrying a weapon and theft, 5th degree from The General Store.

On Monday Joan T. Rohret of Conrad was arrested for public intoxication.

On Sunday Augusto Gervesio Olivera, 410 Melody Lane Apt. #3, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

On Saturday Kira Renee Klein, 1111 Jackson St., was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

On Saturday Devin George Thul, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #11, was arrested for public intoxication.

On Friday Jose Luis Sanchez, address unknown, was arrested for public intoxication.

On Friday Robert James Gutierrez, 119 E. State St. Apt. AA, was arrested for public intoxication, trespass and theft, 5th degree.

On Friday Jose Luis Soto Jr., 119 E. State St. Apt. #8, was arrested for theft, 5th degree from Hy-Vee.

On Friday John Brian Lewis, 201 E. Lincoln St., was arrested for violation of no-contact order.

On Friday Virginia Joy, 608 N. 3rd Ave., was arrested for theft, 3rd degree (enhanced) from Wal-Mart, three counts of forgery and harassment of a public official.

On Friday Michael Robert Dunn of Tama was arrested for theft, 4th degree from Hy-Vee.

On Friday Tanata Renee Macias of Tama was arrested for theft, 5th degree from Wal-Mart.

On Saturday Hannah Elizabeth Hix of Dysart was arrested for driving under the influence.

Accidents

On Monday a pickup driven by Jeffery Allen Haley of Grinnell was southbound on Highway 146 when it struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Haley pickup was estimated at $4,000.

On Sunday a vehicle driven by Rachelle Lynn Overton of Maxwell was eastbound on 295th Street when a tire blew out causing it to enter the south ditch when the driver corrected it back up onto the roadway where it entered a skid and reentered the south ditch at which time it rolled over before coming to rest. Overton received possible injuries, but was not transported. Damage to the Overton vehicle was estimated at $8,000.

On Friday a vehicle driven by Angel Marie Hicks of St. Anthony was eastbound on Eastman Avenue approaching an intersection with 160th Street when due to the fog it couldn't stop in time and it impacted the ditch. Hicks was taken to the hospital later by a private vehicle to get checked out. Hicks was cited for failure to have security against liability-accident. Damage to the Hicks vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

On Friday a car driven by William George Fisher, 1608 Summit Rd., was eastbound on 190th Street when the driver spotted a deer, panic braked and a vehicle behind driven by Sherri Lynn Winkler of McCallsburg collided with the rear of the Fisher car. Winkler received possible injuries, but was not transported while passenger Martha Fisher was transported to Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $4,500 each.

On Friday a semi driven by Tyler John Jacobson of Ames was on Zeller Avenue turning left to enter the westbound Highway 30 ramp when it made its turn too far off the road surface, attempted to return to the pavement, went out of control and rolled onto its side where it impacted a overhead light pole owned by the Iowa D.O.T. No injuries were reported. Jacobson was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Jacobson semi was estimated at $80,000 while the light pole received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

On Friday a car driven by Robert Paul Jones of Salem, Neb., was eastbound on Highway 30 just west of Parker Avenue when the driver dozed off and then saw a farm combine which he attempted to avoid, went out of control, entered the south ditch striking a speed limit sign owned by the Iowa D.O.T. and struck the ditch where it came to rest. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Jones car was estimated at $2,500 while the speed limit sign received an estimated $200 in damage.

On Nov. 19, a semi driven by Daniel P. Markovich of Kampsville, Ill., was northbound on Reed Avenue making a right turn on a curve when it went out of control entered the north ditch of the Garwin Road where it overturned. Markovich was transported to Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Damage to the Markovich semi was estimated at $45,000 while the stop sign and Chevron sign owned by Marshall County received estimated $300 in damage.
