Turning things around

Fourth grade student shows improvement

Tyler Lowe has proven he can turn things around.

The fourth grade student at Fisher Elementary has focused more on his schoolwork and has left behavior problems behind him.

Last year, Lowe got behind in his homework and had other issues which made it hard for him to focus his attention at school. This year he decided to improve his schoolwork and focus and it is paying off.

"Last year I was getting in trouble and not getting my homework done," he said. "This year I just decided to do better. I'm amazed at how much I've improved."

Lowe's teacher, Amanda Freiberg, speaks highly of his improvement.

"He's been very responsible," she said. "He completes his homework and has been very respectful."

Freiberg said no one instance stands out as far as Lowe's improved behavior, he has been consistently good.

"Since the beginning of the year I'd ask him to do something and he's always said 'OK,'" she said. "I haven't had any problems with him."
