Learning every day

Kindergarten student a role model at Fisher

February 22, 2010
By ANDREW POTTER, TIMES-REPUBLICAN

It's hard to know what most 6 year olds will be like from day to day in school.

That is unless it is Taylor Jones.

Jones is a kindergarten student at Fisher Elementary School. Her teacher, Cynthia Eggers, said Jones is always ready to do her schoolwork.

"I can always depend on her every day," Eggers said. "She's always doing the right thing even when the teacher isn't looking."

Jones likes math and writing and event combines the two. She said she recently wrote up to the number 2,000.

"I like writing," she said.

Eggers said often in class she'll tell other students to take after Jones.

"I always acknowledge her as being a good role model," Eggers said. "She always makes good choices every day."
