Marshalltown Police Department

Incidents

On Tuesday Steve Allen, 918 S. 11th Ave., reported damage to a driver side window on a Buick Electra while parked at 111 W. State St. Apt. #1. Estimated value of damage was $400.

On Tuesday an employee with Southard Implement, 3006 S. Center St., reported the theft of a John Deere 425 riding lawn mower from the business. Estimated value of loss was $3,000.

On Tuesday Lauri Meppelink, 505 Dennis Dr., reported BB gunshot damage to the left rear window on a 2001 Ford Ranger while parked somewhere in Marshalltown. Estimated value of damage was $400.

On Tuesday en employee with Arona Corporation of Des Moines reported damage to a passenger side window on a 2008 Econoline van while parked at 1700 S. Center St. Estimated value of damage was $350.

On Tuesday Shamus McDonough of Gladbrook reported damage to a rear window and frame on a 1998 Chevy Blazer while parked at 1700 S. Center St. Estimated value of damage was $1,100.

Arrests

On Tuesday Charles R. Kuykendall, 405 E. Boone St. Apt. #3, was arrested for serious domestic assault.

On Monday Ngun Thum of Des Moines was arrested for public intoxication.

Accidents

On Monday a car driven by Steven Joseph Adelmund, 405 Bromley St., was southbound on North Third Avenue when in an attempt to turn left onto State Street it collided with a pickup driven by Michael John Liskowiak, 1802 S. 7th Ave., which was traveling north on Third Avenue. No injuries were reported. Adelmund was cited for failure to yield upon left turn. Damage to the Adelmund car was estimated at $4,000 while the Liskowiak pickup received an estimated $500 in damage.

On Monday a pickup driven by Martin Frey of Stafford, Mo., was westbound in the middle lane on East Church Street when in an attempt to turn into a drive it pulled into the south lane and collided with a vehicle driven by Thomas Michael Berstler of Nevada. No injuries were reported. Frey was cited for turning from an improper lane. Damage to the Frey pickup was estimated at $1,000 while the Berstler vehicle received an estimated $500 in damage.

Arrests

On Friday Frankie Wayne Cooper of Des Moines was arrested for violation of no-contact order.

On Feb. 17, Harley Dean Ferch of Beaman was arrested on a warrant.

On Monday Trisha Kathleen Mundt of Traer was arrested for absence from custody.

On Saturday Joshua Andrew Mills of Woodward was arrested for driving under the influence.

On Saturday Jeffrey Darwin McCoy of Des Moines was arrested on a warrant.

On Feb. 18, Nicolas Joseph Mitchell of Cedar Rapids was arrested for destruction of property.
